Listed below is just a snapshot of our home:
Kitchen: The kitchen is well-furnished, making you feel right at home. It features a new refrigerator (with ice maker), newer electric stove, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker, and microwave. Cleaning supplies and fire extinguisher are located under the kitchen sink. Due to the smaller nature of the kitchen, we built a large pantry that is a great place to store your non-perishables. You are free to use any of the items that have been left in the refrigerator or pantry. In the lower level, there is an extra refrigerator that is always great to have on vacation. We have provided the essentials: napkins, paper towels, coffee filters, dishwasher detergent, spices, and condiments.
Bathroom: For your convenience, we have supplied a pump dispenser in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap. We provide plush towels, so no worries about paper thin, flimsy ones here. There is also a wall hair dryer and additional toiletries provided under the sink. Some other essentials provided are: facial tissues, toilet paper, cotton swabs, and q-tips.
Bedrooms: We can comfortably sleep ten (including the toddler bed) in our home. Each bedroom is supplied with shower caddies to make it more convenient for you to use the bathroom. You'll find hooks on the back of the doors so you can dry your wet towels. You'll also find extra blankets stored in each bedroom. We go into much more detail about the bedrooms in their own separate pages.
Living Room: Our living room is very open, allowing us to have plenty of furniture in which to relax. We have quite a large selection of DVDS and the 42" HDTV is equipped with plenty of HD cable channels for your surfing pleasure. Wireless internet has also been installed so you can stay in touch with the world while in the woods. :) There is also a Wii entertainment system with lots of games and a balance board. Of course, after a day on the slopes, it's always nice to come back to a home with a wood-burning stove.
Deck: One of the nice features of the chalet is the wrap-around deck. You can relax on one of the many chairs, while listening to the loons from the ponds below. We also have a new gas grill for your convenience.
Lower Level: At this time, the lower level is under construction. But you will find lots of what you need in the room at the bottom of the stairs. Here is the washer, dryer, extra refrigerator, and lots of other little items that will make your stay feel more like home.
When the lower level is all finished, it will feature:
- A mud room that will be the main entrance to the home. There will be plenty of hooks for coats and basket for shoes.
- A small play area for children, where they can play with a variety of puzzles and games.
- The Summer Room: we'll have a bunk bed and possibly a full-sized bed featured in a room that will remind you of summer in the mountains.
- A full-sized bathroom
- Family room: we envision a large sectional couch to melt into while reading your books or watching TV
- Laundry/storage room
