About the Chalet

For your convenience, we have provided a "Welcome Book" at the chalet. Included in the book is information that will help make your stay more enjoyable. We not only list things to do in the area, but give you a better idea of where to find things in the house.

Listed below is just a snapshot of our home:

Kitchen:  The kitchen is well-furnished, making you feel right at home.  It features a refrigerator (with ice maker), electric stove, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker, and microwave.  Cleaning supplies and fire extinguisher are located under the kitchen sink. Due to the smaller nature of the kitchen, we built a large pantry that is a great place to store your non-perishables. You are free to use any of the items that have been left in the refrigerator or pantry. In the lower level utility room, there is an extra refrigerator that is always great to have on vacation.

Bathrooms:  For your convenience, we have supplied pump dispensers in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap.  We provide plush towels, so no worries about paper thin, flimsy ones here.  There are also wall hair dryers and additional toiletries provided under the sink. Some other essentials provided are: facial tissues, toilet paper, cotton swabs, and q-tips.

Bedrooms:  We can comfortably sleep twelve (including the toddler bed) in our home.  Each bedroom is supplied with shower caddies to make it more convenient for you to use the bathroom.  You'll find hooks so you can dry your wet towels. We go into much more detail about the bedrooms in their own separate pages.

Main level living room:  Our upstairs living room is very open, allowing us to have plenty of furniture in which to relax.  There is a 42" HDTV and plenty of HD cable channels for your surfing pleasure as well as a DVD player. Wireless internet has also been installed so you can stay in touch with the world while in the woods.  :)  Of course, after a day on the slopes, it's always nice to come back to a home with a wood-burning stove.

Lower level living area: Our newly added lower level has it's own entrance with a mudroom to hang your coats and take off your snowy boots. There is also a small play area with lots of toys for the kids. The large, comfy couch is exactly what you need to watch DVDs with the family or playing a rousing game of Wii. We also store board games and larger kitchen appliances in the cabinet in the living room.

Utility Room: The utility room is equipped with an extra refrigerator, washing machine and dryer. You will also find brooms and mops, extra light bulbs, and other little items you might need during your stay. There is also a basket full of beach towels for your use.

Deck:  One of the nice features of the chalet is the wrap-around deck.  You can relax on one of the many chairs, while listening to the loons from the ponds below.  We also have a gas grill and dining table for your convenience.

Fire Pit: What is a vacation in the mountains without a fire pit? Scrap wood is provided.
